Job Summary:
Certified Nursing Assistants or CNAs assist nurses and other medical staff by providing direct personal care for patients. This position is best suited for someone who genuinely cares for others well-being. You will be working with a high functioning individual who has Parkinsons. This individual needs assistance with ADLs transportation for errands and clerical type assistance such as opening mail reading and typing out emails and dialing phone calls. Very intelligent individual that needs physical assistance with these tasks.
CNA Compensation and Benefits:
Pay starting at $18/hr (Compensation is variable and depends on the type of shift/visit day of the week and complexity of care provided.)
Employment is PRN.
- Hours while on this case will be Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday and Saturday 9a-5p.
- Opportunityto pick up additional hours on other cases as desired/ available.
We offer medical dental and vision benefits through Cigna if you maintain FT hours (32/wk)
CNA Responsibilities:
Help client with daily activities including but not limited to: bathing dressing serving meals and standby assist with ambulation
Take vital signs
Examine clients for bruises blood in urine or other injuries/wounds and report all injuries
Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers nurses doctors and family members
- Light housekeeping as directed by client
Stay up-to-date on CNA training policies and procedures
Listen to client and be prepared to respond to concerns or requests
- Strongly preferred: Parkinsons experience/ education
CNA Requirements:
Access to reliable transportation
Ability to work independently and with directions
Compassionate and friendly demeanor
Valid Drivers license
High school diploma or GED
Completion of a state-approved CNA certification training course
Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
- Current proof of negative TB Test within the last 12 months
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
Good communication skills and bedside manner with a compassionate personality
- Ability to read write and speak English fluently
