The Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Engineer serves a critical hybrid role ensuring the smooth daily operations of Cerity Partners IT infrastructure while maintaining robust security posture across all systems. This position uniquely combines infrastructure engineering with cybersecurity responsibilities supporting the companys strategic growth through secure system design implementation and integration of M&A facilities. You will be collaborating within the infrastructure and cybersecurity departments across the company and with outside vendors to plan and execute complex projects affecting thousands of colleagues.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud platforms a keen understanding of cybersecurity practices and experience with on-premises networking in large environments.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain and monitor critical systems to ensure maximum availability and security
Perform necessary maintenance from troubleshooting outages to rolling out patches
Create and maintain standards for configurations processes and other technologies
Coordinate with the Infrastructure Engineering & Cybersecurity teams to plan and implement infrastructure upgrades and network security measures
Support key stakeholders in new project/system onboarding through provisioning of Azure/Cloud resources such as VMs Enterprise Apps SSO MFA Cloud storage databases networking
Support the integration of new or acquired facilities into existing LAN/WAN/Telecom networks
Act as point of escalation for Colleague Success team
Identify and propose cost-savings security improvements and operational efficiency opportunities
Monitor and respond to security incidents through SIEM analysis and threat investigation
Conduct security assessments vulnerability scans and coordinate remediation efforts
Manage EDR/XDR platforms and investigate security alerts
Execute anti-phishing campaigns and security awareness initiatives
Perform email security analysis message traces and threat hunting
Maintain security baselines and implement security hardening across infrastructure
Collaborate on incident response and disaster recovery planning
Required Credentials:
Bachelors degree
5 years of experience in Infrastructure & Enterprise Support
Recommended Credentials:
AZ-104 preferred AZ-500 CCNA Network Security CySA
Skills & Competencies:
Broad experience across the Azure ecosystem managing Microsoft 365 Entra ID Defender Active Directory Intune Azure Virtual Desktop Storage/Blob/Files
Experience managing and designing on-premises infrastructure including Firewalls WAPs Switches and ancillary integrated system (A/V Security Meeting rooms)
Security Tools Experience: SIEM platforms EDR/XDR solutions (Microsoft Defender CrowdStrike SentinelOne etc.)
Vulnerability Management: Experience with scanning tools and remediation processes
Security Operations: Log analysis threat hunting incident investigation
Familiarity with cloud telephony and real-time collaboration systems
Ability to work in a team based/collaborative environment
Entrepreneurial and action-oriented work style comfortable in a dynamic environment
Adherence to all compliance policies & procedures
Strong leadership problem-solving attention to detail and communication skills are essential.

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Incident response availability requirements
Hybrid work arrangements available
Occasional travel requirements for M&A activities or multi-site support
Compensation Range:
$ 105000- 125000
