The Source Quality Manager will provide technical leadership in processes systems and Purchasing Controls across the Joint Reconstruction PowerTools and Robotics business. This position will lead continuous improvement and engage with key stakeholders across the business to influence supplier selection and develop strategies to drive proactive supplier maturity. Additionally this position will shape the strategy for key supply chain transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall Purchasing Control technical leadership in the management of suppliers engaged in the production of Johnson and Johnson products.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across Supplier Quality & Purchasing Controls
- Drive proactive supplier maturity through influencing supplier selection and developing strategies
- Shape Purchasing Control strategies for supply chain transformation projects
- Leads and contributes to the utilization of innovative applications for various tools and practices.
- Leads and/or contributes to root cause investigations using various problem-solving techniques and tools and assesses effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Leads and/or contributes to the development of new systems by developing optimal methods for processes.
- Develops process controls using appropriate techniques and tools (process monitoring advanced statistical process control process performance metrics)
- Provide technical leadership process designs flows reviews gap assessments to leadership to shape and drive efficiencies.
- Manage and supervise reporting team members responsible for relative projects.
- Develop strategic collaborations across functions business units and geographic boundaries to achieve effective long-term outcomes.
- Ensure all activities comply with GMP ISO and quality system requirements.
- Ensure that all health safety and environmental requirements are fulfilled.
- Mentoring and guidance of team members on all technical aspects of source quality process and systems.
Qualifications
Education:
- University/Bachelors degree in Engineering /Scientific is required.
Experience and Skills
Required:
- A minimum of 6 years progressive experience in a regulated industry.
- Work experience in a technical or supply chain function
- Experience with project management technical projects and strategy development.
- Skills in negotiating and influencing decision makers communication judgement tact and leadership skills.
Preferred:
- A minimum of 3 years working with suppliers or Purchasing Controls
- Experience with change and stakeholder management
- Experience in Source Quality or with suppliers in a Supply Chain and/or R&D function.
- Expert with Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools training and certification.
Other:
- This position may require up to 20% travel both domestic and international.
