Summary of Position An Aspens Signature Steaks Server Assistant is responsible for providing legendary hospitality andservice to all Guests in all areas of the restaurant at all times. This position is primarilyresponsible for watering guests upon arrival removing used tableware betweencourses clearing and resetting tables after guests leave and providing general support to the Server and Bartender Staff. The Server Assistants also have general utility andmaintenance responsibilities and other duties as assigned by the Manager on Duty. TheServer Assistant (or SA) must be a team player helping wherever and wheneverneeded to ensure that all Guests receive legendary hospitality. Finally the SA is required to maintain a positive respectful and courteous attitude towards all Gueststeam members and Managers at all times.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Properly water Guest tables and as soon as they are seated
- Develop a good understanding of all menu items including daily specialsimprove that knowledge wheneverpossible and strive to share thatknowledge as required by the Guest
- Run food for Teammates
- Ensure that all Guests feel welcome and are given responsive friendlyand courteous service at all times.
- Remove used utensils plates andglassware between courses andprovide replacements if needed bythe guest.
- Take used items to the dishwashing area and place utensils dishes and glassware in the appropriate areas
- Maintain Guest tables by removingtrash paper or any used orunneeded items at all times.
- Properly and quickly clean and resettable tops and chairs after the Guestshave left
- Check and clean the floor as needed
- Inspect and clean assigned restroomevery 30 minutes
- Communicate effectively with theFOH Team to assure efficient seating table utilization and Guest Service
- Assist Servers and Bartenders withfood running as needed
- Provide warm friendly and efficientservice and hospitality so that we aresure that the Guest will return
- Maintain a clean Dining Room and Restroom to support efficient serviceand excellent Guest perception of Aspens
- Clock in and out accurately accordingto your posted schedule
- Carry stack store and clean platesglassware and utensils properly
- Avoid unnecessary breakage and do not carelessly throw small wares inthe trash
- Maintain a clean floor and addressspills immediately
- Contribute to a positive productiveworking environment for all teammembers at all times by maintaining ahappy professional attitude while atwork
- Demonstrate respect and courtesytowards all FOH BOH and Manager teammates.
Qualifications:
- No previous restaurant experience required
- Must have working knowledge of the predominant language of our Guests
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced setting while walking or standing for up
- to 12 hours per day
- Must be able to carry 2-3 plates trays of 4-6 drinks or bussing trays safely
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Part time availability and availability a must for Holidays
