Job Description
- Work with development system engineering and production teams to accurately identify characterize resolve document and track hardware deficiencies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve transmit group hardware issues in the system integration and test production and power lab environments.
- Develop technical presentations recommendations and written communications to explain issues to program management and Navy customer team.
- Create review and execute hardware design documentation such as interface control drawings assembly drawings test procedures and other technical documents.
- Research and develop product specifications and interface requirements.
- Resolve complex hardware/software compatibility and interface design issues.
- Evaluate components to determine performance impacts to existing designs.
- Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to drive innovation and secure buy-in on concepts and ideas
- Interact with customers at technical and programmatic levels.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major CAD tool (e.g. SolidWorks Inventor Catia etc.) for 5 years
- Hands-on experience with at least one major CAE tool (e.g. ANSYS CD-ADAPCO ALGOR etc.) for 5 years concurrently
- Working knowledge of CAD and associated CAE tools for design drawing creation analysis BOM generation and part tracking
- Understanding of power/analog hardware and systems and electronics troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with hardware and system integration testing (Assembly Level Test / Unit Test / Integration Test / System Performance Test).
- Expert-level understanding of hardware development processes throughout the lifecycle of the program or project
- Experience with circuit card design using advanced materials and packaging techniques
- Collaborative creative thinker with demonstrated success leading design teams for complex projects
- Working knowledge of the Linux
- Must have past leadership experience
