Job Description

Position Title:

Quarterly Lecturer - Department of Counseling Psychology

Position Type:

Temporary

Salary Range:

The rate for a traditional 3 unit course is $9553.

Purpose:

The Department of Counseling Psychology in the School of Education & Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University invites applicants for part-time lecturer positions for 2025-2026. The department has two programs a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counseling.

Selected candidates will have expertise or teaching experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • CPSY 200 -- Psychology of Interpersonal Communications
  • CPSY 214 Evidence-Based Approaches to Psychotherapy
  • CPSY216 Psychology of Human Development
  • CPSY218 Foundations of Psychotherapy and Personality
  • CPSY219 Psychology of Group Counseling
  • CPSY220 Research Methods
  • CPSY231 Multicultural Counseling
  • CPSY275 Ethical and Legal Issues in Counseling
  • CPSY 291- Counseling for Grief Loss and Trauma
  • CPSY300 Career Development and Life Planning
  • CPSY302 Formal & Informal Assessment in Career Development
  • CPSY311 Psychology of Marriage Counseling
  • CPSY315 Family Therapy
  • CPSY317 Therapeutic Interventions with Children
  • CPSY318 Clinical Assessment I (DSM-V)
  • CPSY319 Clinical AssessmentII
  • CPSY320 Substance Abuse Treatment
  • CPSY321 Dual Diagnosis: Diagnosis and Treatment
  • CPSY323 Psychopharmacology
  • CPSY324 Biological Basis for Development
  • CPSY328 Clinical Assessment: Issues in Child Diagnosis
  • CPSY381 Health Psychology: Theory and Health
