The Stravitz-Sanyal Liver Institute ofVirginia Commonwealth University is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator for our Biorepository to joinits world-renowned team of Hepatologists and biological sample experts inchanging the landscape of liver and metabolic diseases through research. TheBiorepository Clinical Research Coordinator will report to the BiorepositoryDirector and have the primary role of recruiting consenting and enrollingparticipants as well as the collection and processing of samples forbiorepository studies. The role willcompile information and documentation and assist in entering data into thelaboratory information management system.

Responsibilities:
-Coordinate day-to-day clinical research activities to ensure study protocols are followed.
-Recruit screen and enroll study participants.
-Obtain informed consent and ensure ethical conduct in all study interactions.
-Collect process and ship biological specimens per protocol (e.g. blood draws urine samples).
-Maintain accurate and timely documentation in case report forms and electronic databases.
-Communicate with sponsors monitors and IRBs regarding study progress and compliance.
-Ensure proper storage handling and accountability of investigational products if applicable.
-Maintain regulatory documents and assist with IRB submissions.
-Maintain current CITI credentials
Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree in a health-related field or equivalent experience.
-At least 12 years of experience in clinical research preferred.
Phlebotomy certification. LPN Paramedic License or MA certification required.
-Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory guidelines.
-Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic data capture systems (e.g. REDCap EDC platforms).
-Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
-Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
-Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect professionalism and civility with a population of faculty staff and students from various backgrounds and experiences or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
