Trailer Mechanic

We are currently searching for DOT registered inspector mechanics with tank trailer repair experience!
Shift Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with occasional overtime
This position is for our Salt Lake City branch at 1475 W. 2100 S.
Pay Range: $30.00 to $41.00 per hour dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.
Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:
- The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
- Tank service and repair
- Trailer suspension installation and repair
- Experience with air brake systems and repairs
- TIG aluminum and stainless welding experience
- Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183 hazmat)
Physical Demands:
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- With assistance occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
