The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This role includes managing reservations seating guests efficiently and ensuring a smooth flow of service. The ideal candidate is friendly professional and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Guest Experience: Greet guests warmly upon arrival escort them to their tables and provide menus.
Seating Management: Monitor table availability and manage the waitlist to optimize seating efficiency.
Reservation Coordination: Take reservations over the phone or through online systems and manage booking schedules.
Communication: Coordinate with servers bussers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
Problem-Solving: Address guest concerns or special requests promptly and professionally.
Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a tidy host stand entrance area and menus.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to restaurant policies including health and safety regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Positive attitude and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Prior experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
Basic knowledge of reservation systems is beneficial.
Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift light objects.
Flexible availability including weekends evenings and holidays as needed.
