Job Description
Job Summary:
Full-time and part-time positions available for PSIA/AASI certified instructors for the 24/25 winter season! The instructor will provide quality ski/snowboard instruction to groups and individuals in a safe and fun manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clearly instruct assigned levels of skiing and/or snowboarding to students
- Teach following PSIA/AASI standards.
- Teach all ages in both private lessons and group lessons.
- Treat every guest with respect and patience.
- Assist guests toload and unload the chairlift.
- Assisting in operational responsibilities the Mountain Sports School programs including but not limited to registration process directing guests to appropriate equipment-fitting source and upkeep of outdoor teaching areas.
Job Qualifications:
- Attend Brundage Mountain training sessions.
- Current Level I 2 or 3 PSIA/AASI certification
- Childrens Specialist I or 2 preferred.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of skiing/riding concepts and teaching methodology; capability to safely instruct clients of all skiing/riding ability.
- Passion for working with all ages.
- Comprehensive knowledge of fundamental skiing/riding concepts and teaching methodology
- Believes in the teaching methods of PSIA/AASI
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work in all Weather Conditions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand squat ski or snowboard for extended periods of time.
