The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer responsible for designing implementing monitoring and managing our organizations network infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime security and performance. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot network issues ensure network security and continually improve network performance and reliability.
What youll do
Responsibilities
- Design implement and maintain LAN WAN wireless and cloud-based network infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot outages or bottlenecks to ensure optimal uptime.
- Configure and maintain network hardware including routers switches firewalls and wireless access points.
- Manage network security tools and enforce security policies and standards.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate network solutions with applications virtualization platforms and hyperconverged infrastructure.
- Document network configurations and procedures maintain inventories and support disaster recovery planning.
What youll need
Qualifications
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science Information Technology Network Engineering or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in network engineering or a similar role.
- Network protocols (TCP/IP DNS DHCP BGP OSPF);
- Cisco Juniper or other network hardware;
- Firewalls and VPN technologies;
- Cloud networking (e.g. AWS Azure);
- Network monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds Wireshark);
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell is an asset.
