Job Summary:
This role is for an Ultrasound Technician responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound examinations in an inpatient outpatient and emergency room setting. The technician will work with a diverse patient population and a range of diagnostic procedures. The position requires proficiency in various ultrasound techniques and the use of electronic medical record systems.
Location: Bolivia North Carolina United States
Responsibilities:
- Performing 20-25 ultrasound exams daily.
- Utilizing ultrasound equipment and techniques for abdominal breast OB and other general exams.
- Performing procedures such as paracentesis thoracentesis breast biopsies and FNAs.
- Utilizing electronic medical record systems (EPIC).
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
- Responding to on-call requirements.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technician.
- Proficiency in abdominal breast OB and general ultrasound techniques.
- Experience with paracentesis thoracentesis breast biopsy and FNA procedures.
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to ultrasound imaging.
- Proficiency in using ultrasound equipment (GE PACS).
- ARDMS certification.
- BLS certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with EPIC EMR system.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- ARDMS certification with additional specialties (e.g. Doppler studies lower extremity venous M-Mode Upper Extremity Venous).
Special Considerations:
- On-call responsibilities are required.
- The position requires working in an inpatient outpatient and emergency room setting.
- The average daily census is 20-25 patients.
- Scrubs required (Royal Blue).
Scheduling:
- Set schedule: Monday and Tuesday days (7 AM - 7 PM) Wednesday nights (7 PM - 7 AM).
- No weekend requirements.
- No float requirements.
