Job Description
Job Title: MIG Welder
Perform MIG welding on mild steel stainless steel or aluminium components as per specifications.
Read and interpret engineering blueprints technical drawings and welding process specifications.
Prepare materials and surfaces for welding by cleaning cutting grinding and measuring components.
Conduct welds using correct settings equipment and techniques to ensure strong and clean joins.
Inspect completed welds for accuracy quality and adherence to safety standards.
Maintain welding equipment tools and PPE in good working condition.
Follow all safety protocols including fire prevention and use of protective gear.
Collaborate with fabrication teams engineers and supervisors for job completion.
Troubleshoot welding defects and perform necessary rework or corrections.
Keep accurate records of work completed and maintain production documentation as needed.
Essential Qualifications:
ITI / Diploma in Welding or any relevant trade certification.
Proven experience of 2 5 years as a MIG Welder in manufacturing or construction industries.
Certification in MIG welding from a recognized institution is a plus.
Skills Required:
Proficiency in MIG welding techniques and equipment operation.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Good physical stamina and ability to work in various welding positions.
Basic understanding of metallurgy and different welding materials.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Knowledge of welding safety standards and practices.
