You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailPerform welding in the 6G position using TIG and ARC techniques on various materials including stainless steel and carbon steel.
Read and interpret engineering blueprints welding symbols and technical specifications.
Prepare and clean welding joints using grinders wire brushes or other hand tools.
Conduct high-quality welds in different positions (vertical horizontal overhead) and ensure strong leak-proof and aesthetically neat welds.
Operate welding equipment efficiently setting the correct voltage and amperage based on material type and thickness.
Inspect completed welds using visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods to ensure compliance with welding codes.
Follow safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE during all welding operations.
Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition and report defects.
Collaborate with the QA/QC team to ensure all welds meet project and industry standards.
Participate in daily toolbox meetings and maintain documentation for welding logs and inspection reports.
ITI / Diploma in Welding or related technical field.
Valid 6G Welder Certification (ASME/ANSI/API or equivalent).
Certification in TIG and ARC welding processes (GTAW and SMAW).
Additional safety certifications such as OSHA / NEBOSH (preferred).
Proficient in TIG and ARC welding techniques.
Strong understanding of welding codes and standards (e.g. ASME AWS API).
Ability to work with different materials and thicknesses.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Capability to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights if required.
Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
Physical stamina and ability to work under high-temperature environments.
