Someone who knows how to spot the signals before they become trends and how to turn those insights into scroll-stopping content.
As a Social Media Manager within the Newsroom team youll play a key role in identifying shaping and reacting to cultural moments that matter to our audience. You have a sharp creative eye are fluent in internet culture and know how to craft social-first storytelling that resonates across platforms. This role requires someone hands-on proactive and excited by the fast-paced real-time nature of social.
Youll collaborate closely with creators agencies and internal stakeholders to bring culture to life in our content-reacting quickly but always strategically. Youll be joining a small but mighty team that leads Zalandos cultural reactivity and youll be supported by a team of passionate social strategists and creators.

Be plugged into culture. Monitor and identify emerging trends internet conversations and platform shifts that align with our brand and audience. Be the teams go-to expert for whats happening right now.
Own real-time content ideation and execution-from pitching reactive content ideas to briefing and collaborating with creators copywriters and designers.
Bring creativity and originality to the table daily crafting social-first formats that feel native to TikTok Instagram and YouTube.
Be confident creating briefs writing social copy or making lo-fi mockups to communicate your ideas clearly and effectively.
Collaborate closely with agencies and external partners to guide creative execution and ensure consistency with Zalandos tone of voice.
Stay organised and proactive across multiple fast-moving projects-owning timelines ensuring delivery and tracking performance.
Use social listening tools and insights to inform ideas and evaluate the cultural relevance and impact of reactive content.
Partner with the wider Global Social Media Global Marketing and other teams (e.g. Propositions) to integrate reactive content into broader campaigns assortment and product strategies.
WE WOULD LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
Youre a social media native. You have 4 years of experience managing and creating content for brands across key platforms ideally in fashion lifestyle or culture-driven industries.
You have a sixth sense for culture. Whether its a meme fashion moment TikTok trend or global news story-you spot the signal before it hits the mainstream and you know how to translate it into brand-relevant content.
Youre both creative and strategic. You can jump from concepting a reactive TikTok to explaining the why behind it to senior stakeholders.
Youve worked with creators and agencies before and know how to bring out the best in them while keeping timelines and briefs tight
You love the buzz of a fast-moving real-time environment and arent afraid to act quickly and decisively.
Youre self-motivated organised and solution-oriented with great instincts and even better taste.
Bonus points if youre also a maker or creator - someone who can work your way around tools like CapCut and Canva.
