Are you passionate about people process and purpose As our People and Culture Administrator youll play an important part in supporting the growth of a positive inclusive and impactful work environment at Amnesty International Australia (AIA).

The People and Culture Administrator helps AIA to administer a range of generalist human resources functions working closely with the People and Culture Manager on HR activities.

You will be involved in supporting the day-to-day HR operations employee database maintenance project coordination recruitment offboarding and fortnightly payroll. Your work will help empower our teams to drive meaningful human rights change.

Description

AS PART OF THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE:

  • Providingsupport as the first point of contact for Managers and Employees for HR related queries including the management of the Human Resources inbox escalating where necessary.
  • Administer employment contracts variations and maintain all associated documentation within the employee lifecycle and employee file.
  • Track and monitor completion of HR activities such as onboarding/offboarding probation recruitment and employee changes (e.g. variations salary increments).
  • Management of AIAs recruitment onboarding and performance software ELMO.
  • Supporting Management in the end-to-end recruitment process including supporting the development of position descriptions creating and posting job advertisements on various recruitment platforms scheduling interviews in ELMO updating interview guides creating employment contracts and coordinating onboarding through ELMO.
  • Supporting the coordination of key HR initiatives including but not limited to Performance Development Plans (PDPs) Culture and Engagement Surveys and Organisational Training.
  • Producing and delivering communications as relevant to the role via AIA communication channels.
  • Providing administrative support to the People and Culture Manager including scheduling meetings and liaising with stakeholders on their behalf.
  • Supporting the People and Culture Manager oversee employee case management and WHS issues.
  • Application of AIA Enterprise Agreement policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate stakeholder feedback and assist in the refresh of HR policies procedures and forms as required.
  • Liaising with various internal teams to facilitate efficient and effective operational functioning.
  • Maintaining a file of key external stakeholders relevant to HR functions and initiatives.
  • Supporting the execution of the payroll process.
  • Performing role to a high standard within agreed timelines and in line with AIAs vision and values
  • Other tasks within your skills and competence as required.

  • Written and oral communication skills will demonstrate confidence to manage correspondence to a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the highest ethical standards.


Skills And Experiences

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant qualification or 2 years experience in human resources administration
  • Experience in interpreting and implementing written policy and procedure.
  • Experience interpreting and working with Enterprise Agreements.
  • Intermediate skills in all software platforms of MS Office Suite.
  • Experience using ELMO Software desired but not required.
  • Payroll administration experience desired.
  • Familiarity with human rights and social change issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in or commitment to working with rights holders.

The salary for this position is $90870per annum (pro rata for part time) super optional not-for-profit salary packaging.
