Job Title: Water/Wastewater Engineer
Location: Augusta GA
Employment Type: Direct
Water/Wastewater Engineer Augusta GA
Our client is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join their Augusta team and provide technical support for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This individual will serve as a technical designer on municipal drinking water and wastewater projects throughout Georgia and South Carolina.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform technical engineering tasks in study planning design construction administration and start-up services for water/wastewater utility projects across the Southeast.
Develop engineering deliverables such as calculations equipment sizing/selection technical specifications reports cost estimates and schedules for all phases of project execution.
Apply appropriate design standards and methods to meet project and regulatory requirements.
Conduct quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reviews of project documents to ensure accuracy and completeness of data calculations and technical content.
Communicate effectively and promptly with team members demonstrating strong attention to detail and collaboration.
Assist with proposals business development efforts and other marketing initiatives as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
5 years of experience working with municipal or industrial water/wastewater systems
Bachelors degree in Environmental Mechanical Chemical Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
Local candidate or willingness to relocate to Augusta GA
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia or nearing licensure (South Carolina PE is a plus)
Strong technical foundation in utility design
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desire to support the growth and success of our clients water/wastewater team
Working knowledge of technical specifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in one of the listed engineering disciplines
Experience with alternative project delivery methods
Established relationships with utilities and industry professionals in the region
