Hanover is looking for an ambitious enthusiastic Senior Account Executive to join the Corporate team.

The Senior Account Executive will provide high-quality monitoring and research services as well as media handling to our existing corporate PR clients across a variety of sectors. including financial services food & drink media technology and energy.

They will also be involved in supporting new business activity including acquisition development and pitching.

The successful candidate will join a team of bright consultants who know their stuff and arent afraid to challenge the status quo. Your ideas will be backed by data and research which we put at the core of our problem-solving while using analytics to uncover insights that enable us to create winning strategies for our clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Draft high-quality press releases and media material.
  • Sell in news stories to print and broadcast journalists as well as writers for digital titles.
  • Oversee the production of timely and relevant media monitoring (of print online and broadcast media) keeping up-to-date press cutting files and compiling press cutting reports for clients.
  • Oversee the compilation of press lists of target journalists for specific news stories and events.
  • Organise logistics for press conferences media and stakeholder events.
  • Conduct value-add research and produce quality intelligence reports for existing clients and sector specific new business meetings as required.
  • Draft client meeting agendas and effective action notes from internal account meetings and new business meetings.
  • Contribute towards selected new business pitches as part of the wider team.
  • Contribute towards marketing activity to promote Hanover.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a relevant PR and communications position from either a UK public relations consultancy or in-house communications team.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of corporate communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good existing business media contacts and a strong desire to broaden and deepen these relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organised.
  • Effective time management and strong organisational skills.
  • Experience of working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrable interest in UK media business news and current affairs.
