The Day-to-Day:
- Execute tasks as delegated by the Sous Chef Chef and/or General Manager.
- Prepare food for the event space in accordance with Oliver & Bonacini (O&B) standards.
- Follow all recipes portion controls and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain an organized prep list and stay on top of all station duties throughout service.
- Use the FIFO (First In First Out) method to ensure product freshness and reduce waste.
- Assist with food inventory management and stock control as needed.
- Receive inspect and properly store all deliveries ensuring product quality and food safety.
- Keep all prep areas equipment and utensils clean and sanitized following all hygiene and food safety standards.
- Adhere strictly to WHMIS and MSDS safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support kitchen operations.
Qualifications :
- 1-2 years cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant
- Valid Food Handlers Certificate preferred.
- Culinary diploma/degree is an asset.
- Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
- Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Able to spend 100% of the time standing
- Flexible availability evenings weekends and holidays as needed.
