This role supports in-field Account Managers across multiple regions including Illinois Indiana Ohio Michigan Pennsylvania New York and New England (Connecticut Rhode Island Massachusetts Vermont New Hampshire and Maine).
The District Manager Retina is responsible for leading a region team of field-based Account Managers Retina (AMRs) promoting AbbVies Retina injectable portfolio. The District Manager will also oversee all aspects of managing the region including sales results and accountability ensuring all AMRs needs and opportunities are addressed through training development and disciplinary actions as necessary. They are responsible for in-field coaching and development of their region AMRs to advance their skills and increase their impact to grow product demand. The region manager is also responsible for recruiting and hiring managing region budgets and developing and maintaining key customer relationships to ensure the overall success of the Retina region.
This position is responsible for accomplishing objectives of US Retina franchises short- and long-term strategy while leading the regions execution of all promotional and tactical initiatives. The District Manager is responsible for ensuring that their sales team meets or exceeds all business unit metric and performance goals. They will develop and implement procedures and practices establishing communication development and direction to meet or exceed these goals. They must have the ability to lead and motivate others to attain individual or collective goals and objectives outlined for the Region and National sales team. The District Manager will demonstrate leadership in needs-based account selling processes that will deliver a long-term competitive advantage in the region. They must also provide leadership in KOL promotional programs key account management and provide leadership that delivers executional success and drives product demand.
This position is part of a Retina sales team promoting a mature buy and bill Retina injectable therapy with growth opportunity while preparing for pipeline commercialization when directed.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
