Delta Dental of Kentucky is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the position of Senior Full-Stack Software Developer (Portals) in our Louisville KY office. Job Summary To define develop test analyze and maintain customer facing portals and shopping applications. Responsible for all phases of the software development life cycle on behalf of Delta Dental of Kentucky and its affiliates and subsidiaries. Primary Job Responsibilities - Perform end-to-end development and maintenance of software applications including testing documentation and deployment.
- Work with business users and external partners to define application requirements.
- Work with the lead developer to design system architecture and application integration points.
- Troubleshoot and fix application software problems (Help Desk).
- Proactively assess potential items of risk and comply with all relevant security standards when designing developing testing and deploying software.
- Create user-friendly e-commerce interfaces that enhance online customers shopping experiences
- Facilitate e-commerce marketing strategies by providing technical solutions (e.g. analytics data collection online advertising integration)
- Integrate directly with payment processing gateways to process customer payment transactions
Secondary Job Responsibilities - Develop and support all software applications for Delta Dental of Kentucky and its affiliates and subsidiaries as needed.
- Prepare test data and assist end users in performing testing and validation.
- Develop and maintain application documentation for end users and operations.
Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary and Secondary Job Responsibilities as described above.
Minimum Qualifications Position requires a bachelors degree in a related field and 4 years of software development experience in successfully completing and delivering software applications to internal and/or external customers with multiple release cycles. Will accept any suitable combination of education training or experience. Strong front end and UI development skills are required.
Position requires knowledge of professional software engineering practices and standard methodologies for the full software development process including coding standards code reviews application security source control management build processes testing deployment and DevOps; advanced software development skills including cross-browser HTML CSS JavaScript C# .NET (version 6 and up) Entity Framework Core and database technologies; front-end experience with recent standards in JavaScript CSS HTML C# React and Blazor or equivalent framework; experience with responsive web design and Web API design and implementation.
Experience with payment processing marketing analytics and SEO is preferred. Experience with PCI HIPAA or other regulated environments is also preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
