Are you ready to take the next step in your civil engineering career with a company thats shaping the future of water infrastructure GHD is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing UK Water team. This is a technically focused role ideal for someone passionate about delivering innovative solutions across water treatment wastewater treatment and clean water infrastructure projects.
About the RoleAs a Senior Civil Engineer youll play a key role in the planning design and delivery of complex water sector projects. Youll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams support junior engineers and contribute to the development of sustainable and resilient water systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and contribute to the design and delivery of water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies data analysis and technical assessments.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Collaborate with clients contractors and internal teams to ensure project success.
- Support project management activities including planning budgeting and reporting.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in engineering processes and solutions.
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience (36 years) in the water sector particularly in treatment works.
- Strong technical skills in civil design and analysis.
- Familiarity with UK water industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive collaborative and accountable approach to work.
- Action-oriented and enthusiastic about tackling complex challenges.
- Strong decision-making and analytical skills.
- Comfortable managing complexity and ambiguity.
