Job Title:Open Rank- Associate Professor to Professor

Job Summary:

Department of Pediatrics Section of Nutrition has an opening for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Associate Professor or Professor position. The Department is seeking an advanced researcher to further expand and complement its program of extramurally funded basic translational clinical and outcomes research in the field of the World Health Organization designated spectrum of nutrition from undernutrition micronutrient deficiency to overnutrition/obesity and related conditions and comorbidities e.g. cardiovascular disease preventive medicine across the entire life course.

This position is full-time (40h/week) appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level. This position is a tenure-track eligible regular series faculty position. Duties will include independent research teaching scholarly activities and service responsibilities.

Established in 1993 the CU School of Medicine Department of PediatricsSection of Nutritionwas the first independent program dedicated to addressing and promoting best practices for nutrition and physical activity with a focus on disease health and well-being for infants and children.

Through clinical services research education community outreach and advocacy the section offers a wealth of expertise in obesity undernutrition and micronutrient deficiencies. Areas of emphasis include micronutrients precision nutrition developmental origins of adult disease early infant feeding epigenetics and global health. The Section of Nutrition has a strong commitment to research and 2024 the section had over $24 million in research funding; and their nutrition training programs include the nations longest-serving NIH-funded T32 program.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Associate Professor: $249856 - $256682

Professor: $299119 - $315660

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
