RSMs Finance and Accounting Outsourcing (FAO) practiceis looking for skilled professionalsto join us at theAssociatelevel.RSMs FAO practiceblends to best of both worlds by providing candidates with all the career growthopportunities that come with working for a public accounting firm while at the same timeoperatingin private company environmentsdaily.Weprovide accountingtechnologyand consulting services toprivate lower middle market clients with revenues ranging from $0 to $100 million. Our diverse industry base includes technology life science not-for-profit andprofessionalservice organizations just to name a few. This position will need to work to tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activitiessuch asmonth end close financial reporting year-end client tax and audit projects and the support of budget and forecastingactivities.In addition you will havethe ability to learn and efficiently use our best-in-classcloud-basedtechnology stack.FAO Associateshave contact withourclients (CEO COO CFO VP of Finance Controller etc.)as well asother client contacts including tax and professional service providers.

Solid Excel skills (create tables use formulas pivot tables)

Willingness tolearn andwork with emerging technology solutions such as OCR(Optical Character Recognition) AI(Artificial Intelligence) and AccountingBOTS
Professional presentation andgreat communicationskills as contact with clients will be extensive
Responsibilities:
This is a hands-on position that requires transaction processingaccount reconciliationand financial reportingskills. Duties include:
Key point of contact for ourclients Purchase to Pay Order to Cash and Month End Close cycles
Oversees and reviews our accounts payable and accounts receivable teams forourclients
Processes and recordsjournal entries forprepaid expensesfixedassetsaccruedexpensespayroll and / or inventory transactions as applicable inan accurateandtimelymanner
Understands the purpose ofreconciliations. Prepares bankreconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations
Prepare clients monthly financial statements including month over monthvariance analysis and / or actual to budget analysis
Continuouslyidentifyopportunities to enhance theclientsmonthly operationstomake suggestions for process improvements
Define and document repeatable methodologies withappropriate toolsand templates that can beleveragedfor future projects.
Understand our technology stack andidentifyadditionaladd-on processes systemsmodulesand integrations that can drive month-end close efficiencies.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelors in accounting is
Excellent written and oral communication skills arenecessary(proactivelycommunicatesstatus issues conflicts and priorities up down and across the engagement team)
Ability to balance multiple responsibilities simultaneously plus excellent analytical anddecision-makingskills
Experience in a public accounting firm consulting firm or other professional services environment preferred but not
ProficiencyutilizingMicrosoft Office (Word Excel Outlook etc.).
Strong organizational skills along withthe ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to adapt to change effectively
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with automated accounting systems (i.e.IntacctNetSuite Blackline Tallie)
CPAor pursuing CPA

At RSM an employees pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including but not limited to education skills work experience certifications location etc. As such pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
