General Summary:
The Child Care Billing Coordinator manages services and supervision of billing for tuition based child care programs. This position reports to the Finance Director and Licensed Child Care Director.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors financial status of all child care programs and accounts.
- Contacts parents to discuss unpaid balances and plans to remedy accounts.
- Collects on unpaid accounts.
- Completes all DHS billing and coordination.
- Assists families with DHS accounts and post payments in a timely manner.
- Ensures account balances are collected in a timely manner and provides status reports monthly to the Childcare School Improvement Facilitator
- Works with families and program managers on delinquent accounts and recommends to the Child Care School Improvement Facilitator when necessary changes need to be made to student attendance.
- Responds to concerns and suggestions of families and staff in a respectful and timely manner.
- Maintains confidentiality with regard to all student staff and family records and information.
- Follows all district policies and administrative guidelines.
- Assess child care fees in accordance with district policies and program guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required
- Willingness to meet all Licensing Requirements for a Child Care Staff Member
- College degree and/or previous relevant work experience required.
- Advanced knowledge of computers and technology.
- Strong people skills as demonstrated by past employment experiences.
- Strong organization communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform basic accounting procedures (balancing accounts maintaining budgets etc.)
- Current certification in first aid and CPR and/or willingness to become trained and certified.
- Dependable reliable and protective of sensitive/confidential information.
