Nuclear Med Tech PRN (Permanent Role)

Location: Pflugerville TX 78660
Shift: 12 HR Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (12 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Quality Assurance

• Perform imaging procedures per protocols.
• Conduct routine quality checks and maintain equipment.
• Ensure compliance with RAM license ACR and manufacturer standards.

Caring Practices

• Communicate clearly with patients and families.
• Confirm correct exams and follow HIPAA guidelines.

Patient Safety

• Explain procedures to ease patient anxiety.
• Prepare and position patients and equipment.
• Follow infection control and aseptic techniques.

Radiation Safety

• Safely administer radiopharmaceuticals.
• Perform pregnancy screening as needed.
• Educate patients on radiation safety.
• Adhere to disposal and radiation safety protocols.

• Strong observational skills to monitor patient condition and communicate effectively with the clinical team.
• Capability to respond promptly in emergency situations and administer first aid.
• Commitment to continued education and competency in imaging procedures across all relevant age groups (newborn to geriatric).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• ARRT-N (Nuclear Medicine ARRT)

• CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist NMTCB)
