Position: IT Project Manager - Public Safety Systems Replacement
Location: Cedar Rapids IA 52401
Client: State of Iowa
Duration: 12 Months
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated IT Project Manager to lead the implementation of a critical Public Safety Software System. This role involves managing the replacement of key systems serving law enforcement fire and emergency services. The ideal candidate will coordinate across multiple agencies ensuring effective project execution from planning through stabilization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full lifecycle implementation of new public safety systems.
- Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and vendor selection.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans including timelines and budgets.
- Oversee change management efforts and ensure user training and support.
- Monitor performance indicators and escalate issues proactively for timely resolution.
Key Skills:
- 5 years of project management experience with complex software implementations.
- Familiarity with public safety operations including CAD RMS and JMS systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project SharePoint and Office/M365 tools.
- Experience managing third-party vendors and software integrators.
- PMP and/or ITIL certification preferred.
