The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating daily shipments between suppliers and customers. Responsibilities include quoting freight booking and tracking shipments creating documentation and resolving issues across the supply chain. This position plays a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate logistics operations while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
Shift Full-time position standard business hours (some flexibility may be required based on customer needs)
Key Responsibilities
- Quote freight for client projects and accurately create BOLs (Bills of Lading) for new shipments; communicate details with suppliers.
- Tender shipments to carriers using MercuryGate TMS and manage the booking process from start to finish.
- Track shipments from pickup through delivery and resolve any misrouted or time-sensitive freight issues; escalate critical matters to the Operations Manager as needed.
- Maintain high-level professional communication with both customers and suppliers to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in resolving billing discrepancies and ensure systems are updated to reflect accurate shipment and financial data.

Qualifications :
Education
- Bachelors degree preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in a related logistics or transportation role
- Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) preferably MercuryGate
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook Word and Excel
- Background in LTL shipping or general transportation preferred
