Job Description

Were seeking a Lead Veterinary Technician with at least two years of leadership experience to join our dedicated and collaborative this role youll play a vital part not only in patient care but also in mentoring and leading our team of veterinary assistants and technicians to deliver top-notch service.

What Youll Do:

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Leading by example in daily technical duties and patient care

  • Providing guidance support and training to the technician and assistant team

  • Triage of incoming patients and effective pet restraint

  • Collection and analysis of lab samples

  • Diagnostic imaging and anesthetic monitoring

  • Surgical prep and assistance

  • Administering medications and managing treatment plans

  • Nursing care for hospitalized and critical patients

  • Communicating clearly and compassionately with clients about treatment plans and patient care

  • Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records

  • Collaborating with doctors to anticipate their needs and ensure smooth workflows

Please note: This position may involve exposure to unpleasant odors noises animal waste bites/scratches and contagious diseases.


Qualifications :

  • A seasoned Lead Veterinary Technician with a minimum of two years of leadership experience

  • Minimum of two years experience as a veterinary technician

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to mentor and motivate others

  • Technical proficiency in all areas including exam rooms surgery dentals treatment/ICU

  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to patient care

  • Compassion empathy and a commitment to practicing low-stress handling techniques

  • RVT or LVT preferred though highly skilled veterinary assistants will also be considered
