Are you a talented chef looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills
Novotel Melbourne South Wharf is looking for a dedicated and passionate Full-time Demi Chef to join our Kitchen team. If you have a love for cooking and a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic kitchen environment we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Be in charge of the dinner a la carte and room service
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment whilst ensuring a product of high quality and presentation standards
- Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage
- Ensure all equipment is maintained serviced and cleaned
- Collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience as a Demi Chef or Commis Chef in a hotel or restaurant environment.
- Completion of a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
- Enthusiasm for cooking and a strong desire to learn and grow
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to work well in a team and handle a fast-paced kitchen
- Willingness to work flexible hours including mornings nights weekends and holidays periods
