The role

We are hiring a Portfolio Manager Rare Diseases to lead the strategy and promotion of Novo Nordisks rare disease portfolio in Belgium. This newly created position combines portfolio ownership product launch readiness and strategic brand leadership all in one of our most dynamic therapeutic areas. Reporting directly to the BU Director this is a hands-on role offering long-term development potential. Top responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute brand strategies for both established products and upcoming rare disease launches.
  • Lead the creation and rollout of marketing campaigns aligned with sales force and medical teams.
  • Engage with healthcare professionals and KOLs to gather insights and guide portfolio decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Market Access Public Affairs Medical Sales and Regulatory to drive execution.
  • Own forecasting and budget management for the full portfolio ensuring financial impact and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in pharmaceutical marketing ideally with product launch exposure.
  • Experience in rare diseases is a strong plus but transferable therapeutic area expertise is welcomed.
  • Fluent in English and French; Dutch is a strong asset for full market engagement.
  • A proactive hands-on professional who takes ownership and thrives in an autonomous role.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and a strategic growth-oriented mindset with leadership potential.

About the Department

You will join our Rare Disease Department composed of 2 people and will report to our BU Director. You will liaise with relevant stakeholders (e.g brand team Medical department) in the affiliate and business area region headquarter and act as local point of contact for related activities. The Novo Nordisk BeLux affiliate is on a healthy growth path with exciting opportunities in different departments.
