Job Description

The Company

Our client is a global financial institution with a strong presence across Asia Europe and the Americas. With a reputation for excellence in capital markets and investment banking they offer innovative financial solutions and operational expertise on a global scale.

The Team

You will be joining Back Office function under the Operations team within the the Capital Markets Division. The Payments team plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely settlement of FX/MM and Derivatives transactions across multiple booking locations including London Paris Hong Kong Singapore Tokyo and Shanghai.

The Role

The Associate will be responsible for managing end-to-end payment processing ensuring compliance with internal controls and communicating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies. The role includes monitoring payment flows handling CLS settlement cycles engaging in SWIFT messaging operations and supporting key regulatory and audit-related processes.

The Requirements

  • University degree preferably in Finance or Economics
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in FX MM and Derivatives settlement
  • Solid understanding of CLS and SWIFT (MT202 MT103 MT202COV etc.)
  • Experience with systems such as Calypso Summit Kondor PayPlus and SWIFT Alliance
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and audit standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin; ability to read simplified Chinese
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy under pressure
  • Self-motivated team-oriented and capable of working independently
  • Sound judgment and ability to identify and escalate risk situations
  • Experience with UAT testing and procedure documentation is a plus
