Would you like to work for an award winning Planning Service Fife Council Planning Service is pleased to be able to offer a temporary opportunity for up to 1 year for an experienced Chartered Town Planner. Our systems and technology have been developed making it easy for our staff to work from any location. That means that whilst we are based in Glenrothes the post is offered on the basis of a blended working arrangement which can include a significant element of working from home.
We are looking for an experienced Graduate Planner or Chartered Planner who is looking for an opportunity to work within Development Management dealing with an interesting range of planning applications. You will have the opportunity to deal with all aspects of the statutory planning process.
The Person
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a positive attitude to customer care and experience in processing planning should have sound planning knowledge problem solving and communication skills needed to deliver an excellent planning service to our key customers. Applicants should also be able to demonstrate a level of competence and knowledge of planning commensurate with the post.
In addition applicants must hold a degree or equivalent in Town and Country Planning as well as being a member of the RTPI. Chartered Members of the Royal Town Planning Institute (Membership must be retained whilst holding this post) will be appointed at FC8 level.
We would also welcome applications from RTPI Licentiate Members who are due to submit their applications for chartered status within the next 6 months.
Licentiate Members will be appointed at FC7 level with progression to FC8 when RTPI chartered status is confirmed.
