You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAHS seeks a Care Transformation Director to lead work performed under the general direction of the senior level Health Care Reform leadership within the Secretarys Office in the Agency of Human Services. The Care Transformation Director will be critical to moving forward AHSs health care transformation agenda including identifying developing and implementing policy and programmatic changes in response to Act 167 to ensure financial sustainability and adequate access across the health system in Vermont. The work requires an articulate diplomatic leader who is able to garner the cooperation and support of diverse groups of individuals and organizations. A significant portion of the role will involve collaboration with external stakeholders particularly health care providers. Should the State move forward with CMSs States Advancing All-Payer Health Equity Approaches and Development (AHEAD) Model or another alternative payment model the Care Transformation Director will partner with other leaders within Health Care Reform to align care transformation goals with broader statewide health care system goals.

AHS BACKGROUND CHECKS: Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the accordance with AHS Policy 4.02 Hiring Standards Vermont and/or national criminal record checks as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks as appropriate to the position under recruitment will be conducted on candidates with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights.
Duties are performed primarily in a standard office setting. Private means of transportation must be available for occasional travel. The incumbent must be able to reconcile a broad array of competing interests within programmatic and budgetary constraints. Significant pressure from deadlines may be anticipated.
Five (5) years of experience of managerial experience in project development.
OR
Bachelors degree in data science informatics public administration policy or human services related field AND three (3) years of experience of managerial experience in project development.
OR
Masters degree in data science informatics public administration policy or human services related field AND two (2) years of experience of managerial experience in project development.
