Postdoctoral Fellow in Psychiatry departments APPIC-Membership Training Program in Professional Psychology with a minimum of 2000 hours of supervised experience and a minimum of two hours of individual supervision per week..
Psychological evaluations in treatment with patients in providing other clinical services and in conducting research. Specifically clinical opportunities will be provided in the general adult partial hospitalization program (PHP) to ensure consistent group and individual work. At least 50% of clinical time can be spent at a PHP level of care to ensure adequate preparation for future career goals. You will also conduct individual psychotherapy in an outpatient setting for individuals with primary anxiety-related disorder diagnoses including OCD and PTSD.
Regarding research and program development you will be provided one half-day per week devoted to research and learning about program development. You will use this time to maintain ongoing collaborations with anxiety/OCD researchers and/or to meet with individuals with expertise in PHP program development.
As a Postdoctoral Fellow in our departments APPIC-Membership Training Program in Professional Psychology you will receive a minimum of 2000 hours of supervised experience with a minimum of two hours of individual supervision per week. Supervision will be provided by Aaron Brinen Psy.D. and other qualified faculty as necessary. Dr. Brinen will help facilitate and supervise outpatient individual therapy cases and provide training in Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
