NXT are excited to present a rare opportunity to work for an established self-catering holiday resort located in the heart of the Lake District who are looking to appoint an experienced driven and like-minded Resort Manager.
TheRole
This role is responsible for day-to-daymanagementactivities across theresortand will have key accountabilitiesthatmayshape the direction and performance of the site. The ideal candidates could come from a property management and/or hospitality background with a varietyof skills.
Key Accountabilities
To effectively manage the resort within budget and toensure that it ismaintainedto the required standards.
To deal withowners and rental clients resolve problems and help to maintain the high standards set by the Board.
Ensuring that staff(whether permanenttemporaryorcontracted)who represent the company work to the required standards and conform to all health and safety requirements.
To ensure that the site meets its obligations regarding Employment Law Health and Safety and Safeguarding with regular reviewsof its policies.
To work with theFinance Directorto manage income and expenditure prepare and monitor budgets providing a monthly report.
To work with theOperations Director andRefurbishment Committeeand report on any internal or external issues.
To work with the Directors and liaise with external professional support staff concerning HR matters.
Topromotesales ofunsold weeksand to liaise with the Directorsconcerningmarketinginitiatives.
To attend Quarterly Board Meetings as and when required provide both financial updates and aResortManagers Report.
To oversee all seasonal projects and work closely with relevant stakeholders
To carry out any other tasks which may be reasonably regarded as falling within the requirements of theResortManagers role.
Skillsand Experience
Ability to manage supervise support and develop team members.
Excellentcommunication andinterpersonal skills and ability to negotiate.
Proven ability to work constructively with a diverse range of people.
Demonstratedability to delegate organise and prioritise work.
Ability and willingness to work outside normal working hours (as required) including evenings and weekends.
Ability to initiate and plan projects and to manage an agreed budget and work within such remit.
Excellent IT Skills record keeping and reporting skills.
Knowledge of localgovernmentagencies would be an advantage.
Experience ofworking in theHoliday Resort/Cottage Rentals or Hotelsindustry;promoting of sales would also be desirable.
Experience of Health and Safety Requirements
Experience ofpreparing and managing budgets.
Experience of working with external contractors including property maintenance.
Experience ofrecruitment HR and training.
