Job Description
The individual in this role must be highly motivated and skilled in managing mentoring and developing their team while having a strong understanding of the manufacturing processes involved in Weaving Beaming and Twisting for webbing production.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations and resource management for Weaving Beaming and Twisting processes ensuring production targets are consistently met or exceeded.
- Manage mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and align with department and company metrics.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop strategies that improve safety quality and productivity.
- Monitor departmental KPIs financial performance and adherence to ISO system standards to ensure operational excellence.
- Foster a culture of teamwork problem-solving and continuous improvement within the production team.
- Provide hands-on leadership in driving change initiatives and process improvements on the production floor.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental Safety and Health practices across all production activities.
- Communicate regularly with the Plant Manager (direct report) as well as the VP of Sales and Quality Manager (indirect reports) on production performance and resource needs.
Production Supervisor Job Requirements:
-Bachelors in Textile Technology or equivalent work experience 5-10 years in Manufacturing Webbing Industry
- 2 years of management experience in Weaving Beaming and Twisting
- 2 years in SMED (quick changeover methods)
-Strong Computer Skills desired NAVISION PowerPoint Excel Word
-Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma Desired
