POSITION SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE
The Financial Accountant is responsible for overseeing the companys bookkeeping accounts receivable and accounts payables functions. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions managing day-to-day financial operations and maintaining financial records. The Financial Accountant is expected to support the Financial Controller by providing reliable financial information and contributing to the efficient management of financial processes.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities may include but not limited to the following:
- Manage and oversee all bookkeeping activities ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions general ledger entries and reconciliation of accounts.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable processes including invoicing collections and reconciliation of customer accounts to ensure timely receipt of payments.
- Oversee accounts payable functions including processing invoices managing vendor payments and ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the payment process.
- Prepare and review financial reports related to accounts receivable and accounts payable providing insights into financial performance and trends.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards internal controls and company policies in all financial transactions and processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of bookkeeping and financial operations.
- Work closely with other departments to support financial needs and provide accurate financial information as required.
QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; Masters degree or relevant certification is advantageous.
- Proven experience in financial management with a strong focus on bookkeeping accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial transactions and records.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear financial information and collaborate with other departments.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
