Who we are looking for
Cutting Dynamics is seeking aStaff Accountantto support our accounting operations in Avon OH. This role will assist with day-to-day general accounting functions focusing primarily on accounts payable and customer billing. Were looking for someone meticulous organized and ready to collaborate across departments to ensure accurate financial processing.
What you will get to do
- Enter AP invoices and verify three-way match between invoice PO and receipt in the ERP system
- Troubleshoot and resolve pricing quantity and receiving issues in coordination with Purchasing Outside Processing and Receiving teams
- Prepare AP check runs and process vendor payments via ACH wire and check
- Apply cash receipts and reconcile the AR ledger daily
- Assist with customer billing and communicate with customers and vendors on invoicing/payment issues
- Manage purchasing card reconciliation and office supply purchasing
- Support month-end close by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
- Contribute to process improvements including automation of AP functions
- Maintain accurate GL coding and support internal financial reporting
What you bring to the team
- High school diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- 25 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience working in an ERP system and handling full-cycle AP/AR
- Ability to problem solve and take the initiative to fix issues at the source
- Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams
- Curiosity to learn about the business and desire to develop new skill sets that will help support Re:Builds growth
- Drive for continuous improvement and support for our Lean Transformation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
- Experience with AR automation software and processes
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and complex manufacturing environment
