Job Description

Job Summary: Join Our Team at Harper Volkswagen! We are currently seeking an experienced motivated and customer-focused Service Manager to lead our service department at our Volkswagen dealership. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing and reputable team that prides itself on delivering a top-tier customer experience while maintaining high performance and operational efficiency.

Volkswagen or Audi experience is highly preferred but not required. If you bring leadership a strong work ethic and a passion for the automotive industry we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all operations of the service department including scheduling workflow technician performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive department profitability through effective cost control efficient labor utilization and revenue generation.
  • Hire train and manage service advisors technicians and support staff.
  • Ensure the department meets all manufacturer and dealership service goals and metrics.
  • Handle customer concerns or escalations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Monitor and maintain high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores.
  • Maintain compliance with all OEM safety and environmental policies.
  • Ensure proper documentation of repairs and service records.
  • Collaborate with the parts and sales departments to support fixed ops growth.
Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience in a dealership service manager or assistant service manager role.
  • Volkswagen or Audi dealership experience highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in dealership management systems (DMS) - we use Dealer Track.
  • Understanding of warranty processing and OEM procedures.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a solution-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • ASE certification or manufacturer training a plus.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
