What We Are Looking For:

Are you a recent graduate looking for a full-time opportunity to grow in the Legal field meet new people and hone your skills Then look no further! Aird & Berlis LLP is looking for a recent graduate from a Law Clerk or Legal Assistant Program who is detail oriented and self-motivated. The successful candidate will be administratively supporting our Summer/Articling Law School Students in various practice areas along with the Director of Professional Development Research and Knowledge Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage the administrative needs for a number of Articling/Summer Students and the Director of Professional Development Research and Knowledge Management
  • Prepare and complete all necessary documentation
  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external clients
  • Handle administrative details with respect to correspondence accounting expenses etc.
  • Assist with coordinating the set up of seminars including booking boardrooms sending out invites ordering lunch etc.
  • Preparing and updating list of external legal referrals
  • Able and willing to work in a variety of different practice areas
  • Juggle multiple priorities/demands
  • Produce the highest quality of work
  • Accountable for all work assigned
  • Take initiative
  • Confidential

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a post-secondary program in a Legal Assistant and/or Law Clerk program
  • Handle time pressure situations and stress of multiple demands

Skills:

  • Microsoft 365 suite of applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Good judgement and decision making
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Organized
