Job Description
The role includes responsibility for overseeing the strategic and tactical direction of these frameworks and related technologies ensuring the experience of developing apps for Apples platforms with these key technologies remains at the leading edge. A successful candidate will be a seasoned leader with a strong background in iOS software development ideally with substantial experience in UI framework development as well. You will be responsible for overseeing the shape of the team itself managing multiple individual sub-teams ensuring successful partnership with multiple cross-functional teams and driving the strategic direction of declarative UI development for Apples platforms. The ability to lead a large group of senior engineers while providing strategic guidance making critical decisions and managing external stakeholder expectations will be crucial to the teams success.
- A bachelors degree in Software Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5-10 years of senior leadership experience leading software engineering teams
- A proven track record of strategic leadership of a large team and a history of completing critical initiatives
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a focus on team building and individual development
- Develop and implement both strategic and tactical plans for SwiftUI and its related frameworks taking in to consideration the needs of multiple external partners
- Oversee and mentor a team of managers and engineers creating a culture of inclusion collaboration and excellence
- Build and maintain strong relationships with multiple multi-functional teams both within Tools & Frameworks and across Apple
- Influence the direction of the work of other related teams including Swift Xcode HI apps and many other frameworks
At Apple base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $305000 and $487200 and your base pay will depend on your skills qualifications experience and location.
