Job Title:

Mental Health Specialist - Spanish Bilingual

Division/Program:

Outpatient

Starting Compensation:

24.36 - 29.23 USD Per Hour

Working Location:

San Jose: South San Jose Center (In-person position)

Working Hours/Shift:

Monday-Friday. AM Shift

What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):

  • Associates degree and six (6) years of direct service experience in a Mental Health field; OR
  • Bachelors degree in the mental health field and four (4) years direct service experience in a Mental Health field; OR
  • Enrolled in a Masters degree program in the mental health field and one (1) year direct service experience in a Mental Health field OR
  • Masters degree in the mental health field and one (1) year direct service experience in a Mental Health field
  • Valid California Drivers License

NOTE: Must possess a valid California Drivers Licenseand maintain a driving record that meets the company drivers eligibility policy.

How you will make a difference (job overview):

This position has primary responsibility for mental health services and case management services to children adolescents and their families. The Mental Health Specialist provides mental health services including engagement assessment and evaluation and other services to clients referred to the Community Services Program. Acts as liaison with external agencies and functions on teams with other clinical & support staff. Documents and bills for mental health and case management services and completes outcomes information.

Division/Program Overview:

  • Works with clients ages 6-18.
  • Telehealth community clinic and home-based services
  • Variety of metal health issues addressed.
  • Provides services to clients throughout Santa Clara County.

In accordance with California law the grade for this position is 24.36 - 36.54. Placement within the grade is determined based on experience internal equity and other factors permitted by law.
