Tech Lead IS/IT Digital Services
Since 2019 IS IT Group Department launched a huge transformation of its organization and services at scale: NextGen IS IT. Group CIO and IS IT COO setup IS IT Digital competencies center currently named IS IT Digital services as the first step of this global transformation as the Catalyst of the Groups internal digital transformation focusing on digital and data for internal function needs with an End-to-End technical and services approach. The head of the organization is based in France and the structure growth up very quickly with a first local organization in Romania for development of Digital Products (Application custom development in Thales Azure Cloud) in 2020.
JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a Tech Lead to join our IS/IT Digital products team.
IS/IT Digital Products stream aims to scale MVP intodigital products and integrate them to the Thalesian ecosystem for Thales functions to solve the users pain point.
We are working on Azure on most of our project (sometimes the prod is on premise but you wont operate it). Our infra stack is either AKS either Azure app service.

Java (spring boot on Maven mostly)
Angular/React
Kotlin

IntelliJ
Jira cloud Miro
Gitlab
Sonarqube enterprise nessus artifactory

As part of our team your responsibilities will include
- Working together with the PO to transform the business needs into technical requirements.
- Undertaking the design and development of applications using templates and tools.
- Assisting as part of the team on the design of components of systems.
- Producing detailed designs including for example physical data flows file layouts common routines and utilities program specifications or prototypes and backup recovery and restart procedures.
- Assessing the technical risks and assumptions coming from development team and manage the potential impact on the product functionality
- Using your skills and project-based experience to provides support to less experienced colleagues.
- Interaction with your teammates and review their code to identify failures and optimize it
- Developing the tasks using solid principles and respecting all the dev best practices (comment small class & methods)
- Write tests (unit integration and e2e)
- Refactor past code in order to optimize it
- Write code using business logic
- Avoid security breach (sql injection xss breach )
- Responsibility for the availability or a regular product increment incorporating new features

Requirements
- Significant experience with Java (6 years)
- Strong understanding of Java fundamentals OOP principles design patterns and engineering practices
- Server-side framework (i.e. Spring hibernate etc)
- Understanding of Web protocols and technologies RESTful Web services
- In-debt understanding of the entire web development process (design development and deployment)
- Experience with GIT Sonar
- Intercultural communication
- Team-player
- Solution oriented while open to embrace new technologies
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Advanced in spoken and written English
Would be a plus
- Architecture skills
- Operational skills (setup CICD pipelines infrastructure monitoring)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes basis
- TDD Domain DD
