Job Description

NDT Technician - PCN Level 2
Location: Near Wolverhampton
Salary:.5% Shift Allowance
Hours: Afternoon Shift (MonThur: 2pm10pm Fri: 2pm9.30pm)
Employment Type: Permanent


EMBS Engineering is working in partnership with aleading precision engineering company specialising in bespoke medium to large-sized assemblies for market leading world-renowned customers and they areseeking an experienced NDT Technician to join their high-performing team.

Operating from one of their facilities near Wolverhampton the company delivers complex safety-critical components for some of the worlds most regulated sectors. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a business with a strong reputation for technical excellence and innovation.


Key Benefits:

  • Hours: 2pm - 10pm early finish on Fridays

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) using Ultrasonic and Dye Penetrant methods in accordance with project specifications and drawings
  • Produce and maintain high-quality inspection reports and welding/NDT documentation
  • Support product verification traceability and non-conformity reporting across the full project lifecycle
  • Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to address NDT-related queries and inspections
  • Contribute to audits quality investigations and continuous improvement activities

Essential Requirements:
  • PCN Level 2 certificationin Ultrasonic Testing (welds) & Dye Penetrant Inspection
  • Experience in precision engineering within highly regulated industries (e.g. Nuclear Oil & Gas Defence Aerospace)
  • Strong understanding of complex engineering drawings standards and inspection specifications
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Background working with machined and fabricated components


Desirable:

  • CSWIP 3.1 Weld Inspection
  • PCN Level 2 in Magnetic Particle Testing and/or Visual Inspection
  • Awareness of quality management systems internal auditing and continuous improvement tools
