Charles R. Drew University is located in the Watts-Willowbrook area of south Los Angeles and was founded in 1966 in the wake of the Watts uprising. CDU was founded to address inadequate medical care in the region and to provide equitable medical education opportunities for underrepresented students.

Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Admissions works with the Director of Admissions and Operations to manage admissions oversight and optimization of the Slate CRM platform enrollment reporting and analytics to support admissions conversions yield efforts and melt prevention for all academic programs. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong technical analytical and operational skills. As a subject-matter expert for all enrollment systems. Interfaces with enrollment systems providers (e.g. CAS application platforms Ellucian Slate Power Campus/SIS etc). Supervises federal work study students and admissions ambassadors. Oversees operational aspects of application processing from started applications to matriculation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the director of admission oversee recruitment and admission processes for all CDU academic programs.
- Interface with university IT to assure proper functioning of current admission technologies including CAS systems CRM Recruit and PowerCampus.
- Act as lead subject-matter expert on day-to-day operations within slate including application management communication flow user permissions query development and form/event configuration in CRM/CAS systems.
- Train and support admissions and CDU teams in the effective use of Slate and CAS systems.
- Update and keep admissions manuals and SOPs updated
- Ensure timely and accurate data transfer between various admission systems (e.g. CAS to Admission CRM) and from admission systems to registration and records.
- Generate regular internal admission reporting. Develop and maintain real-time dashboards and reports to monitor key enrollment metrics across the funnel: inquiries applications admits deposits yield melt etc..
- Analyze data to identify trends gaps and opportunities to inform decision-making and forecasting along with the Director of Admissions & Operations and the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management
- Coordinate efforts to improve the student experience from prospect to matriculation using Slate automation and personalization tools
- Supervise application processing and supplemental document collection by enrollment specialists and assist in the evaluation of undergraduate records for admission eligibility.
- Participate in the recruitment and hiring of enrollment specialists.
- Assist the director of admission and operations in DSO duties and training for foreign students. Prepare forms and reports required by the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service. Work on streamlining the F1 process at CDU.
- Assist in the development of program-specific yield melt prevention and on-campus event strategies
- Serve as liaison with program directors and coordinators for CDU programs.

Qualifications/Requirements:
EDUCATION:
- A bachelors degree from a regionally accredited university is required.
- Masters degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Five or more years of management experience in recruitment and admission for graduate and undergraduate students.
- Experience with admissions CRM technologies. Experience with Slate strongly preferred. Proficiency with Power Campus and SIS is also preferred.
- Extensive experience managing application processing and decision-making for multiple academic programs.
- Extensive experience with student information systems and other admission technologies.

Compensation:
- $68640 - $106404 annual salary
