Pay Rate: $11.00
Required knowledge and skills:
- The ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English to ensure safe and efficient operations of the machine shop.
- Some working knowledge or experience of mechanics and machinery i.e. band saws circular saws and other hand tools and power tools.
- A minimal understanding of project tasks and workflows.
- Training for the manual Mill and Lathe machines will be provided if hired though minimal knowledge of these machines is valuable.
Job Description:
- May assist with maintenance cleaning or sanitation of University facilities
- Adhere to and ensure safety procedures and precautions are followed
- May assist with inventory functions in assigned area
- May assist with scheduling coordinating and following up on needed repairs of equipment
- May participate with various projects activities or tasks related to facility services
- May assist with keeping records of maintenance or inventory
- May partner closely with other facilities staff to ensure seemless facility operations
- May assist with setup and breakdown of meetings events or other activities
- May assist with setup testing or troubleshooting venue equipment
- May help maintain the internal and exterior appearance of a facility/building
- May assist with facility security such as securing doors security cameras badge/building access
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylors mission
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
