What is the opportunity
The Associate Director (AD) is the first line of defense for operational risk and is responsible for assisting Group Risk Management (GRM) in identifying and mitigating operational risk. The AD supports operational risk management leadership within GRM providing expertise and support to senior management enhancing their ability to anticipate and manage operational risks effectively. This individual leads the execution of Operational Risk and Regulatory Compliance Management (Reliance Model) programs in GRM including: risk and control identification and assessment operational risk events data collection key risk indicators senior management reporting of operational risk profile ensuring new or changed regulations are anchored and appropriately managed. The AD consults on the control environment of GRMs business and processes to identify gaps and to recommend control enhancements to improve the environment. The AD leads operational risk reviews and provides expert feedback on the operational risk impact of major change initiatives process improvements and transformational projects.
