As a DSP Engineer in BIG you will collaborate daily with world-class AIML engineers and cross-functional teams. Exceptional technical communication and teamwork are essential as this role demands meticulous attention to detail and proficiency in hardware firmware and software debugging. You will refine optimize and evaluate internally developed algorithms leveraging advanced techniques to ensure the highest-quality user experience across all Apple devices. You will be at the forefront of developing and maintaining robust tools for analyzing complex time-series data from physiological sensors. You will contribute to the design implementation and validation of signal processing algorithms that ensure data integrity quality and accuracy playing a key role in shaping the future of Apples sensor technologies.
Background in signal processing time series analysis adaptive filters machine learning linear algebra statistics etc.
Familiarity with digital signal processing (DSP) and signal decomposition techniques including: Filtering and waveform feature extraction; and Spectral and time-frequency analysis (e.g. Fourier wavelets Hilbert transform)
Experience with source separation methods (e.g. ICA PCA NMF) for isolating and analyzing independent components of complex signals
Proven experience contributing to or maintaining scientific software packages tools and open-source
projects
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
M.S. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or related fields) or equivalent experience
Ph.D. in EE or CS (or other STEM fields)
In-depth DSP knowledge for biosensor applications and real-time signal processing
Experience with embedded systems and hardware-software integration
Excellent coding and debugging skills (Python preferred)
Theoretical and practical knowledge of ML techniques
