About Us:
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Tester vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join the business at a skilled professional level and help us maintain and build on the excellent quality standards we commit to.
Whats involved
- Attending planning sessions recording test plans advocating for excellent overall user experience
- Performing tests and checks on the software recording findings raising bug reports.
- Liaising with development teams to resolve and explain issues performing QA investigations
- Running team bug triages.
- Assisting with feature understanding within the testing team and externally amongst other teams providing testing estimates and highlight when things are not on track.
- Be able to describe and follow the QA Teams processes directing people to the SMEs of the software within the team (understanding the roles of the team and who to contact regarding specific software understanding) and bringing back knowledge/contextual information to the team from a user interaction (e.g. site visits customer interactions).
- Maintaining and updating the teams Azure DevOps records.
- Be responsible for 1 or more QA team responsibilities/software testing tools
- Reviewing the Test Plans of other testers.
- Supporting new starters in their learning/testing journey.
Required Experience
- Several years of experience as a tester.
- A good understanding of the business needs and software uses.
- Has a deep and details understanding (is a subject matter expert) of one facet of the software we support.
- Good Interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Keen eye for detail.
- A mindset of inquisitiveness tenacity and problem solving.
- Competent in the use of Azure Dev Ops would be beneficial
- Good SQL understanding
- Good working knowledge of testing APIs
- Able to prioritise work and tasks under pressure
- Several years of experience as a tester.
- A good understanding of the business needs and software uses.
- Has a deep and details understanding (is a subject matter expert) of one facet of the software we support.
